Lee Street theatre presents Scrooge's Christmas Trolley Tour
“Scrooge’s Christmas Trolley Tour” is a dramatic retelling of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol,” featuring both laughter and serious moments.
Passengers travel back in time to Christmases’ past with Scrooge on his journey via the trolley to see scenes from this wonderful holiday story acted out at historic sites in Downtown Salisbury. This is a live-theater presentation that your family will not want to miss this holiday season.
“Scrooge’s Christmas Trolley Tour” runs four times a night on Fridays and Saturdays from November 25 through December 23.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for children ages 6-12 and for seniors 65 and older. Kids 5 and under ride free.
Advance tickets are available and recommended. Last year, a number of tours sold out in advance.

Performance times are 6:00pm, 6:45pm, 7:30pm and 8:15pm. Guests should arrive 30 minutes prior to the performance to allow ample time for parking and to locate your respective boarding line.
What can I expect?
The Scrooge Trolley Tour offers the unique experience of a live theater performance and trolley ride in one. Our performances begin with the trolley's arrival at the Rowan County Convention Bureau. Once the trolley has come to a complete stop and doors open, all guests are invited aboard. During the Trolley ride, passengers will ride with Scrooge and experience his past, present and future. There will be multiple stops from the Hall House where we meet Jacob Marley to 145 W. Bank street where we see a young Scrooge working hard for Fezziwig to Archibald Henderson Law Office where we see Bob Cratchit and Tiny Tim and finally the Old English Cemetery where Scrooge receives his and Tiny Tim’s dark fate if he does not change his ways. The entire journey takes place in Downtown Salisbury.
How long is The Scrooge Trolley Tour?
The Trolley Tour lasts about 45 mins. This includes stops and short scenes on and off the trolley. There may be some traffic, so time may vary.
How do I purchase tickets?
Tickets can be purchased online at www.leestreet.org. If you need assistance with your purchase, please call (704)310 5507. NC state sales tax and convenience fees are required for all tickets and will be added in the final step of your ticket purchase (but before you are charged).
Where will I be seated?
You will choose your seating on the trolley at the time of boarding. There are a total of 28 seats on each trolley car.
Is the trolley heated?
Yes, all trolley cars are heated.
How do I get my tickets?
We do not have physical tickets. Once you purchase your ticket, an order confirmation will be sent to your email and you may print it out if you would like. Your name will be added automatically added to a will call list that will be available when you arrive. Simply check in with one of our volunteers with your name.
Can I take photos during the event?
Yes, you can take photos. Aboard the trolley, there will be several opportunities for people to interact with Scrooge, the Ghost of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. Cameras are certainly welcome.
Are there refunds or exchanges?
Tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged, so please check the date, time, and location carefully before purchasing. No rainchecks will be offered. All rides continue rain or shine.

Do be sure to dress warmly enough to walk comfortably to and from the trolley, to wait for boarding. We suggest you wear closed-toe shoes with non-slick bottoms. Please make sure you (and your little ones) are dressed appropriately for the weather.
