Scrooge's Christmas Trolley Tour is a dramatic retelling of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, featuring both comedic and serious moments.


Scrooge’s Christmas Trolley Tour offers the unique experience of a live theater performance and trolley ride in one.  Our performances begin with the trolley's arrival at the Rowan County Convention Bureau. Once the trolley has come to a complete stop and doors open, all guests are invited aboard.  During the Trolley ride, passengers will ride with our Narrator and Scrooge as they experience his past, present and future. The Trolley Tour lasts about 45 minutes. This includes stops and short scenes on and off the trolley. There may be some traffic, so time may vary.

 

Scrooge’s Christmas Trolley Tour runs six times a night on Fridays and Saturdays from November 23 through December 29.

 

Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for children ages 6-12 and for seniors 65 and older. Kids 5 and under ride free.

 

Advance tickets are available July 30th and recommended as tours sell out quickly.

When are The Scrooge's Christmas Trolley Tour times?
       Friday, November 23rd and Saturday, November 24th 
       Friday, November 30th and Saturday, December 1st 
       Friday, December 7th and Saturday, December 8th 
       Friday, December 14th and Saturday, December 15th

Performance times are 6:00pm, 6:45pm, 7:30pm, 8:15pm, 9:00pm, and 9:45pm. Guests should arrive 30 minutes prior 
to the performance to allow ample time for parking and to locate your respective boarding line.


What can I expect?


The Scrooge Trolley Tour offers the unique experience of a live theater performance and trolley  
ride in one.  Our performances begin with the trolley's arrival at the Rowan County Convention 
Bureau. Once the trolley has come to a complete stop and doors open, all guests are 
invited  
aboard.  During the Trolley ride, passengers will ride with Scrooge and experience his past, 
present, 
and future.  There will be multiple stops from the Hall House where we meet Jacob 
Marley to 145 W. Bank street where we see a young Scrooge working hard for Fezziwig to 
Archibald Henderson Law Office where we see Bob Cratchit and Tiny Tim and finally the Old 
English Cemetery where Scrooge receives his and Tiny Tim’s dark fate if he does not change 
his 
ways. The entire journey takes place in Downtown Salisbury. 


How long is The Scrooge Trolley Tour?


The Trolley Tour lasts about 45 mins. This includes stops and short scenes on and off  
the trolley. There may be some traffic, so time may vary.


How do I purchase tickets?


Tickets can be purchased online at www.leestreet.org.  If you need assistance with 
your purchase, please call (704)310 5507.  NC state sales tax and convenience fees 
are required for all tickets and will be added in the final step of your ticket purchase (but
before you are charged).


Where will I be seated?


You will choose your seating on the trolley at the time of boarding. There are a total of 
28 seats on each trolley car.


Is the trolley heated?


Yes, all trolley cars are heated.


How do I get my tickets?


We do not have physical tickets. Once you purchase your ticket, an order confirmation willbe 
sent to your email and you may print it out if you would like. Your name will be added 
automatically added to a will call list that will be available when you arrive. Simply check in 
with one of our volunteers with your name. 


Can I take photos during the event?


Yes, you can take photos.  Aboard the trolley, there will be several opportunities for peopleto 
interact with Scrooge, the Ghost of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. Cameras are certainly 
welcome.  


Are there refunds or exchanges?


Tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged, so please check the date, time, and locationcarefully 
before purchasing. No rainchecks will be offered.  All rides continue rain or shine.

What are the appropriate ages for the Trolley Tour?


The Scrooge Trolley Tour is a family event that welcomes visitors of all ages.


What is the appropriate attire for the Trolley Tour?

 

Do be sure to dress warmly enough to walk comfortably to and from the trolley, to wait for 
boarding. We suggest you wear closed-toe shoes with non-slick bottoms.  Please make sure 
you (and your little ones) are dressed appropriately for the weather.
