Announcing the New CataLST Internship

We are proud of our continuing partnership with Catawba College and the CataLST Internship program.

A prestigious, semester-long internship for Catawba Theatre Arts students with downtown Salisbury’s premiere semi-professional venue, the CataLST Internship allows students to:

  • receive intensive, professional experience in their chosen area of emphasis (Acting, Directing, Design, Stage Management, and others)
  • build additional skills and resume credit in a secondary focus area of their selection.
  • receive 3 Semester Hours of credit toward graduation

CataLST is available (by application) to Catawba Theatre Arts Majors who have passed 60 hours, are in their 3rd or 4th year, and have met GPA and additional departmental requirements.

Spring Intern for 2019

Mason Livers

Junior, East Chesterfield, VA

Mason Livers is junior at Catawba College and pursuing a Theatre Education degree with a
minor in creative writing. He had been seen in Catawba productions such as Dog Sees God
(Matt), Anything Goes (Sailor), Twilight: Los Angeles 1992 (Multiple Roles) and has Stage
Manage the world premiere of Sister of the Stars. Mason is truly excited to be participating in the CatLST internship. He strives to learn as much as can during his time at Lee Street and and grow as an artist. Mason has aspirations to go into the film industry as a actor and writer.

Shannon Harris

Actor: Little Women

Shannon Harris is a senior at Catawba College and is pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre and a minor in Dance. You may have seen her most recently as Purity in Catawba’s production of Anything Goes, where she also served as Dance Captain. Over the summer, she enjoyed volunteering at her local YMCA’s summer dance camp as well as choreographing The Fantasticks at Lee Street Theatre in Salisbury. She is super excited to be working with such an incredible group of people!

Taylor Kroop

Actor: Little Women

Mason Livers is junior at Catawba College and pursuing a Theatre Education degree with a
minor in creative writing. He had been seen in Catawba productions such as Dog Sees God

Emily Owens

Actor: Little Women

Emily Owens is a senior BFA Musical Theatre major at Catawba College from Reidsville, NC. She is currently represented by Beverly Brock Agency and was be previously seen in Birth of the Daywalker, a Lima Films short film, Calm Before, a movie by 4Pies Production, and in the ensemble of Anything Goes at Catawba. Other favorite theatre credits include: 25th…Spelling Bee (Marcy Parks), Assassin’s (Ensemble), and in Catawba’s staged reading of Sister of the Stars (Williamina Flemming). Most recently, she has spent the summer in New York studying with the Atlantic Theatre Company in their summer intensive ensemble where she collaborated with artists from Australia, New Zealand, and the US. She hopes to move to New York permanently to pursue a professional performance career post grad. 

Claire Raimist

Actor: Little Women

Claire Raimist is a junior BFA Musical Theatre major and Communications minor Honors Program student from Woodsboro, MD. She was most recently seen at Catawba as Marcy in Dog Sees God. In addition to performing, she loves being backstage and has been the Assistant Stage Manager for 2 mainstage Catawba productions. Claire also serves as Vice President of Catawba’s chapter of Alpha Psi Omega, the National Theatre Honor Society.

Savannah Shaver

Actor: Little Women

Savannah Shaver is a Catawba College senior pursuing a BFA degree in Musical Theatre. Savannah has enjoyed performing in previous Catawba productions such as the musical Reefer Madness, Anything Goes, and The Children’s Hour. She is excited to explore marketing and publicity as part of this internship! More importantly, she is super stoked to finally be working on her acting chops with Lee Street’s Craig Kolkebeck!
